Law of Attraction is like a boomerang. The frequency you are putting out, will charge it’s way back to you.
“Manifestation is not about attracting what you say that you want, but what you vibrationally are.” – Mandy Morris
Around the age of 10 years old, I’d imagined hearing the sound of a car’s engine flying past while sitting on our brown carpet next to two tall rectangular windows. They were blocked with light gray curtains snuggly preventing the hot heat and sunlight from seeking in. I imagined hearing people chattering from different age groups while they’re waiting for the signal to cross the busy intersection. This imagination continued to my young adult years.
In my early 20’s, my older sister and I planned on moving to the east of the bay area and at that time we were living in Stockton, CA. Instead, the universe/God had a better plan for us. Giving us an opportunity to live in Los Angeles. I had no money saved up, unemployed and was attending a community college full time. It was my older sister, her boyfriend, and I, who took the chance to move out to LA with my sister’s savings of only $4,000.
A year later, I found myself walking into a cafe. Smelling the rich aroma of fresh coffee and ordering my usual, a sweet potato latte. Then making my way to a comfortable cushioned seat next to a window for my studies. During my breaks, I mindlessly gazed through the tall open windows where adults, teenagers, and children are heading to their destination. Whether it was going into or coming from the staircases that lead down to an underground subway. There I was living in the heart of LA. I manifested what I’d envisioned and felt as if it was already in the present moment during my adolescent years.
Why is it important to heal from your past trauma? How does this help with attracting what you want?
“The world is as we perceive it. If we can address and heal our trauma, we change our perspective and everything around us changes.” – Elise Michaels
How does healing from your past help you manifest what you truly desire? When you learn to forgive and release what is still affecting you till this present day, will lead you to finding inner peace. You will continue to attract the repeated patterns until you allow yourself to move past it.
This was my experience with healing from my trauma; how my father treated me at a young age, I was attracting the same type of relationships at my jobs and partners. My father was impatient and when I made a mistake, he became furious and was quick to call me useless and worthless. Subconsciously, I brought over these beliefs and patterns into my adulthood. When making a mistake at work it caused me to feel frantic and my boss at the time quickly became upset and ridiculed me for it. The beginning of my self love journey pushed me to go in deep and find the root cause of these repeated patterns. I realized I was still holding onto the past on how my father treated me. I finally accepted that we are supposed to make mistakes. Mistakes help us learn and grow as an individual. Also, new beliefs were created…. telling myself that I am worthy!
Things took a turn for the better when I let go of the resentment towards my father. By understanding that he was a refugee with unresolved trauma from what he experienced during the Khmer Rouge genocide in Cambodia. Three years of being overworked, mistreated and was only given a small portion of rice each day.
He did his best in raising my siblings and I, while he was gradually overcoming his brutal past. This taught me to have compassion and not anger. To have a deep understanding of not only my father’s but also my mother’s sufferings. Rather, I am responding with kindness, empathy, love, appreciation and a willingness to help. Letting go of what was and forgiving my father was a start to a new reality.
This led me to discovering inner peace. It also made it easier to reprogram my mind with words of encouragement. I was capable of turning any obstacles into an opportunity to grow. I gained back my confidence and found myself wanting to continue my everyday self love practices. Doors opened to new job opportunities with higher pay and a healthier work environment. It helped me build the strength in calling it quits to a 5 year toxic relationship. Before meeting my partner now, I took a year to heal, reflect and to release it with love. I made an effort to enjoy being single and continuing to better myself.
When you finally release what is no longer serving you, you are making room for something GREATER. You have healed when you are no longer holding onto what was, instead you’re setting yourself free from any pain, agony, hatred, guilt and resentment.
Helpful Journal Exercise For Any Negative & Stagnant Emotions:
- When feeling any strong negative emotions, pour your heart out onto a blank piece of paper. Every last bit of anger, resentment, hatred, hurt, pain, low self esteem, transfer it onto paper.
- Once you’ve completed releasing negative and stagnant energy (it’s important to not hold onto these emotions) now list out what you are grateful for. This will help you bounce back into alignment and not relive those moments that are not helping you grow.
- Last step is setting forth intentions that you would like to see happen in your life. Watch it magically come to life. (Ex. I am surrounded by loving and supportive people, etc.)
You know what you want from what you don’t want. Create the reality you want.
After being in a 5 year relationship, from knowing what I didn’t want in a relationship, I knew exactly what I wanted in a partner. I wrote a list of the characteristics, personality traits, hobbies, even adding an age group, etc. I saw my next partner being emotionally available, who is understanding, thoughtful, honest, romantic, loving, loyal and considerate. Someone who would randomly pick a flower because of the pleasant smell or the beauty of it reminded him of me. On cozy nights, we’re engaging in heartfelt conversations and deeply connecting with each other’s souls. As I’m listening attentively about his passion and interests, my fingers are softly touching his cheekbone and admiring his neatly trimmed beard. With winds lightly whistling against our shut tight windows, we’re figuring out what to have for tonight’s dinner. I pictured us going on trips together, laughing, smiling and rejoicing in each other’s presence. These were what I wanted in my next partner and I received just that.
From working in toxic environments with having bosses who were micromanaging and constantly yelling at their employees, I opted out of that reality quickly. My daily written affirmations were working in a healthy and fun environment with a boss who has an astounding leadership skills. Who’s wonderful to work with and extremely helpful. A job with higher pay and surrounded with phenomenal colleagues who are all team players. Again, I received just that with an every day practice of setting forth my intentions.
Morning Rituals with an Attitude of Gratitude
The more grateful you are, the universe will bring you more of it. Gratitude will instantly put you in a high vibration. Vibration in quantum physics means everything is energy. Therefore the energy you’re emitting to the universe comes right back like a boomerang.
The day I started speaking of what I was grateful for, everything started working out for my highest good. And what I wished for, gradually came true. I made it a morning ritual to speak out loud my gratitude affirmations. As you’re picturing where or what you want in the present moment, you must also feel as if it’s already happening.
My commute to work consisted of having a playlist of calm music to set the mood for reciting my list of gratitudes. Mornings become enjoyable even though the scenery was filled with 16 wheel trucks, warehouses and many luxury cars all rushing to work in this industrial city. These practices started with the following phrases.
“Thank you angels for your guidance and protection. If you can please continue to guide and protect me.”
Thank you for……
- My kind and loving partner.
- My incredible family and friends.
- For this wonderful company that I am currently working for. My colleagues and bosses are all great to work with and very helpful.
- For this amazing and beautiful day.
After speaking of what I am thankful for, I move on to what I want to attract and act as if I already have it.
“Thank you angels, for allowing us to live in North San Diego County. We spend our evenings watching the beautiful sunset at the beach, soaking in the smell of the ocean breeze. We love our bright, spacious, loving and stunning home. I appreciate the beautiful nature and the sound of birds when I’m outside reading my book.”
What were the outcomes of practicing gratitude each morning?
Prior to speaking my affirmations, I was working at a different company that I am now. The Director of Customer Service, who was a bit difficult to work with, ended up doing a no show and informing HR that she will not be coming back. The supervisor was immediately promoted to Director of Customer Excellence. He did an amazing job in overseeing our department. Everyone at work was more at ease and a lot more joyful.
As I continued to attract what I truly desire…
Moving to North San Diego County and attracting a remote job in the industry I wanted to be in.
In 2021, my partner and I made a decision to move in together to San Diego County after his apartment lease ended in July 2022. He was staying in West LA and I was staying in Koreatown, LA. I set an intention and wrote in my affirmation journal to attract an apartment and a remote job in San Diego County.
April 2022 came and my partner was told about a vacancy of a home from a friend who lived across the street. He was given the number of the property owner. We reached out regarding our interest in the available unit. The place was being renovated and we were asked questions like what was our budget, when we were looking to move in, and if we had any pets. We kept in touch with the property owner and she continuously updated us on the renovation. In June, the unit was almost finished so we came for a viewing and I was extremely impressed and fell in love with it.
Our new home came to us with an amazing landlord and neighbors. It is bright, spacious, has a small backyard and on the 2nd floor as I had wished for! My landlord was also stoked about us having pets. When searching for apartments, most buildings did not allow pets. We feel blessed and are truly grateful. This beautiful home came to us!
I started applying for jobs 2 months prior to our move. It wasn’t until we settled into our new home was when I heard back from the company I am working for now. I landed a remote job after a month of moving in!
Continue to focus and put your energy towards the things and the people you want in your life. Releasing negative emotions that’s holding you back is just as important. We are the creator of our reality!
